Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and the fifth largest city of India. While AP is known as the most IT savvy state in India, Hyderabad is emerging as a major center for IT exports. It's share in Indian IT exports is about 12%. The city is galloping towards its dream of becoming the Silicon Valley of India. Today, it is home to many international companies and global IT majors including Microsoft, CA, Oracle, IBM, Dell, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Satyam and others. Apart from IT, Hyderabad is also emerging as a leader in the pharma, insurance and tourism sectors. In addition, it also houses the state ministries, defense undertakings and research and development organizations.

Golconda Fort : The fort is famous for its acoustic system, palaces and ingenious water supply system. It is said that the world famous diamond "Kohinoor" belongs to this fort.

Charminar : The Charminar is a famous landmark of Hyderabad tourism. It was constructed by Mohd. Quli Qutub Shah in the year 1591 in order to mark the end of plague in the city. This symbolic monument has four dominating minarets each 54 meters high. They are adorned with carved lotus buds and petals. There is also a mosque here.

Lad Bazaar : The Lad Bazaar at is famous tourist shopping hub for pearls, stone studded colored bangles and other bridal finery. Due to the thriving pearl industry, Hyderabad is also known as the ' City of Pearls'.

Birla Planetarium : The Birla planetarium in Hyderabad is India's most modern planetarium. It is one of it's kind in the country, armed with the most advanced technology from Japan. It is built on Naubath Pahad in Hyderabad.

Nehru Zoological Park : This park is spread over an vast area of 300 acres and is surrounded by lush greenery. It is one of the biggest Zoo in India with over 250 species of animals and birds kept in natural environment. Other highlights of the park are the Lion safari park, which is the first in Asia.
